As you can see by the yellow arrow pointing to Nauset Beach House, our location in East Orleans is very beautiful!  And

very convenient for spending days at the beach, exploring  Mill Pond, Nauset Inlet and famous Nauset Beach!  Nauset inlet is tranquil and more like a bayside beach with warmer water and fun little pools for kids to play and swim in. There are over 3,000 acres of calm water that flows around into Orleans Town Cove and up into Eastham the National Seashore and even the Visitor's Center there. This makes for great kayaking, standup paddle boarding, sailing, water skiing, canoeing and boating here, just a 2- minute walk from the house.

The lobster guys motor out from the inlet regularly; we give you their #, you can call them, place your order and have an interesting experience meeting the boat and watching them offload or they will deliver fresh caught lobsters (at a great price!) to the house.

Over the dune is big Nauset Beach, which is often voted one of the top beaches in the US and was selected by the Boston Globe as the best walking beach in New England. There are over 10 miles of white sand and dunes, gorgeous waves, seashells, pretty beach rocks & driftwood, seals, birds and other wildlife, plus free Monday night concerts at the main beach area about a mile away. The main beach area has a lifeguard, restrooms, food trucks, etc

You can walk along the inlet shore and cross the dunes or just up the street, as our exceptional neighborhood of Nauset Heights has its own set of stairs leading down to a beautiful and uncrowded section of north Nauset beach.  From there, you can see the beautiful sunrise and full moon rise as well. It is very rare to stay in a place where you walk a couple of minutes and watch both a beautiful sunrise and also sunset over the water....

And in the quiet of the evenings, enjoy the relaxing sound of ocean waves lulling you to sleep.....

Nearby Rock Harbor is known for amazing sunsets and touring & charter fishing tours. About 1/3 of Orleans is salt water bays and inlets and there are several beautiful fresh water lakes also.
